Preschool Teachers Recognised for Nurturing Love for Chinese Language Through Storytelling

28 preschool teachers emerged winners at this year's Storytelling Aids Competition for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers (2025年学前华文教师故事教具制作比赛). With over 270 entries, this year's competition saw one of the highest participations in the past three years. The annual competition aims to inspire preschool Chinese Language teachers to engage children and nurture their interest in learning Chinese Language through creative storytelling.

Guest-of-Honour Ms Jasmin Lau, Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), and Mr Xie Yao Quan, Member of Parliament of Jurong Central SMC and Leader of CPCLL Preschool Group, presented awards to the winning teachers at the Seminar for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers held today at Dunman High School. 3. More than 700 preschool Chinese Language teachers participated in the Seminar for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers, themed "Practice and Reflection on Preschool Play-based Curriculum" ("幼儿园游戏课程实践与思考"). Organised by the CPCLL and supported by the Early Childhood Development Agency, the National Institute of Early Childhood Development and Dunman High School, the annual seminar serves as a platform for preschool Chinese Language teachers to enhance their teaching skills and grow their professional support network.
4. Participants at the seminar attended keynote lectures and concurrent sharing sessions conducted by local and overseas early childhood experts. They also attended professional presentations conducted by past award recipients from the Outstanding Preschool Mother Tongue Language Teacher Award and winners from the Storytelling Aids Competition for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers.
