Flexi-Adjunct MOE Kindergarten Educator Scheme

If you are registered as a Flexi-Adjunct MOE Kindergarten Educator [FAJ(MKE)] with MOE, you may be engaged by MOE Kindergartens to provide young children with enriched learning experiences.

Roles and responsibilities

Cover teaching duties and ensure the children’s well-being and safety, including the following:

  • Organise and deliver the curriculum and programmes.
  • Support the development and implementation of teaching approaches and preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Provide a positive learning environment.
  • Engage parents and education partners.
  • Monitor and document the children's learning and growth.

The specific duties will be agreed upon between the FAJ(MKE) and the MOE Kindergarten.

Requirements

We are looking for trained preschool teachers, as well as individuals with experience working with children, to join us as FAJ(MKE)s and fill short-term teaching roles.

Examples of trained preschool teachers:

  • Former MK Educator
  • L2 certified Kindergarten Teacher
  • Those who possess a Diploma (Conversion) in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (or equivalent) 

Examples of individuals with experience working with children:

  • Current or former Pro-FLAiR
  • Current or former Kindergarten Care staff
  • Current or former MOE Education Officer
  • Current or former MOE Allied Educator (Teaching & Learning)
  • Those pursuing a Diploma (Conversion) in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (or equivalent)

Salary

From $29 per hour. Wages are paid fortnightly, subject to a cap of approximately 58 hours.

Contract duration

Varies from 1 day to 10 weeks per engagement, depending on the requirements of the school.

Leave benefits

You will be eligible for pro-rated leave benefits after 3 months of cumulative service. Cumulative service refers to contracts that:

  • Last 14 days or more.
  • Are renewed within 30 calendar days of the last contract.
  • Are at the same MOE Kindergarten.

Note: If your spouse is eligible for maternity or adoption leave, you will still be eligible for Shared Parental Leave even if you have served less than 3 months.

How to register

  1. Submit your application through the .
  2. Ensure your application is complete before submitting. All applications will be assessed based on the Ministry’s prevailing requirements and guidelines.
  3. You may be required to undergo a medical examination, paid for by the Ministry, which may include vaccinations according to regulatory and prevailing guidelines adopted by the pre-school sector. Where applicable, you will be contacted with instructions regarding the medical examination.
  4. You will receive an email on the outcome of your application. Processing time may vary, but it generally takes 4 to 6 weeks. In the meantime, you may check your application status through REMS 2.0. 
  5. If your application is successful, you will be listed in our registry. Schools will contact you directly if they need your services. You may also search for school vacancies through job postings on REMS 2.0.
 

Successful registration in REMS 2.0 is not a guarantee of employment in a school.

Application window

  • 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026

We will not be accepting applications outside of the window.

How to renew your registration

Registration is valid for 3 years. You may check your registration expiry date in REMS 2.0.

You will receive an email 90 days before your registration expires, after which you may submit your renewal application in REMS 2.0. 

  1. Log in to with your Singpass.
  2. Click on the “Applications” tab.
  3. Select your expiring registration and click on “Re-register”.
  4. Complete all required fields and submit your renewal application.
  5. You will receive an email with the application outcome 4 to 6 weeks after submission. You can also check your application status through REMS 2.0. 
 

We strongly encourage you to submit your renewal application early, as it must be approved before you can start or continue any school engagement.
